Pond Maintenance FAQs
We have different packages for our pond maintenance service. You can choose between Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, all coming with different perks and different price points. The lowest you can pay is $699 for the bronze plan and the smallest pond size, up to 90 sq. ft.
Keep in mind that additional charges can apply if ponds are deeper than 3′ or if the pond hasn’t been serviced by The Great Oasis before.
Maintaining a pond is not rocket science, but you need to know what to do in order to get it right. The levels of bacteria will differ based on the pond’s size, the pH water will have various effects on vegetation and fish, and all the parts of the pond can malfunction in dozens of different ways, and fixing them won’t be easy.
Besides, maintaining the pond yourself takes time and head space, so unless you find it pleasurable, we don’t recommend doing the pond maintenance yourself.
Generally, once every month is the best practice when it comes to maintaining your pond. If your budget or time don’t allow that, you can also choose to do it bi-monthly, or even 4 times a year. Keep in mind though that your pond’s health will suffer if maintenance is neglected.
Of course! All fish will be transferred into an aerated tank with treated water. We’ll put a stress coat over the tank to make the fish less susceptible to diseases and parasites. They’ll also be safe from birds and won’t be able to jump out of the tank.
When your pond is cleaned, we’ll make sure to carefully transfer your fish back into the pond.
