Pond Cleaning FAQs
Cleaning the average pond here in Central Florida starts from $600. The cost goes up depending on the size of your pond but also depending on how long has it been since the last clean out.
You’ll have to maintain your pond monthly, and that implies checking the filter, pump, liner, etc. but also making sure the water’s pH and bacteria levels are right.
Cleaning implies draining and literally cleaning the bottom of the pond, the boulders, and rocks. Cleaning is more intrusive, but it’s a must once every 1 – 2 years.
Nothing good happens when you neglect a water feature, especially a pond. First of all, the water can develop too many bad bacteria and will start looking awful and smelling just as bad. If you have fish in it, you can be more than certain they’re not healthy.

Of course! All fish will be transferred into an aerated tank with treated water. We’ll put a stress coat over the tank to make the fish less susceptible to diseases and parasites. They’ll also be safe from birds and won’t be able to jump out of the tank.
When your pond is cleaned, we’ll make sure to carefully transfer your fish back into the pond.
